COVID-19 CLOSURE - The Kings Buffet (International)

Update 2021-July-19: According to this article The Kings Buffet has closed indefinitely as yet another victim of the COVID-19 lockdowns, and even if it does reopen will no longer be offering AYCE/buffet options.

The Kings Buffet in Hamilton is located at 200 Centennial Parkway North and has great atmosphere.  It's large and can accommodate up to 300 people.  As soon as soon as you come in you're greeted with friendly staff and a welcoming water-splash pond.  There's a duck in it, but don't be fooled like I was! It isn't real!  The goldfish (carp) that once were little are now larger than the decoy duck..

As for the menu, they have almost everything you could want here.  Prices are pretty steep, with the lunch menu at $ 14.99 and the dinner price is $22.99, comparatively expensive to other AYCE's.  They have salmon sushi, which is good.  What is amazing is that Prime Rib roast is included in AYCE lunch.  

I'm not a soup person, but apparently the soup was "burnt" and possibly because it sat too long in the HotPot probably because they are lot people like me who aren't soup people! The spring rolls were good, egg rolls very strange honey flavour.  They had pizza, brunch foods, lots and lots of desserts with ice cream and trays of multi-cultural dishes, such as Indian, Chinese and Japanese.

The drinks were over-price, no doubt.  If you ever go there, be prepared to spend $5 a drink or just stick to water.  Overall very good, friendly staff, great food, good atmosphere.  Great for lunch!
