Copacabana is located at 205 Maryscroft Ave. in Woodbridge, which is close to the intersection of Hwys 400 and 7. Copacabana has a dark modern interior, and was very busy when we went with all tables full... reservations are a must. As would be expected this made the interior very loud.
Copacabana is a rodizio... if you are not familiar with this style, Brazilian steakhouse AYCE servers walk around with large vertical skewers holding the meat selections and large carving knives. Diners' tables have a "Sim"/"Não" ("Yes"/"No") token that can be turned over to indicate whether the diner would like more. The servers carve off thin strips from the skewers and the diner has a pair of tongs used to hold and transfer it to their plate, as much as is desired.
Like the other Copacabana locations, in addition to the rodizio meats there is a full buffet which we started on. Penne was delicious. Rose garlic potatoes wer excellent. Hummus was good. Feijoada was delicious; this is a wonderful Brazilian variation on pork and beans. Lasagna was excellent with both chicken and beef varieties available. Even the humble tuna salad was fantastic. Pineapple quinoa salad was excellent and made the quinoa quite palatable. Asian noodle salad unfortunately had the burnt peanut oil flavor I don't like, although my brother loved it. Cheese tortellini was good although a touch sweet.
Top sirloin as expected was delicious savory, well seasoned and well cooked. Chimichurri beef was delicious and had a nice "planty" flavor to the seasoning; it's primarily uncooked parsley. Parmesan steak is an excellent flavor combination and we loved absolutely loved it. Pepperoni was delicious. Sausage was fantastically good with whatever was in it. Ribeye was excellent and everyone loved indicating it was the best we had ever had, although it was rather salty. Flank steak was wonderfully seasoned and savory and went over well (even though it was only flank steak.) Filet mignon was good although not up to the same as Eglinton and was much smaller. Chicken parmigiana was very tasty and full of flavor, even though my pizza on the floor. Spicy chicken was delicious but watch out as it is indeed spicy.
There is no dessert per se, but the grilled pineapple served as part of the rodizio suffices and is always delicious... beyond delicious, and we could not stop asking for it into thirds and beyond. The consensus was that the meats in the Woodbridge were as good or even better than the ones at the Eglinton location had been, although the Eglinton location had the better buffet. Weekend dinner was $47, AYCD pop $4, and as noted this is still cheaper than a single steak and side at a steakhouse such as the Keg, which is no better (mine was worse) and tiny in comparison. So although it seems very expensive compared to other AYCEs, it's quite a good value compared to à la carte. We certainly all enjoyed it very much.
