The Brock House is located at 918 Brock St. N. in Whitby. Sunday brunch buffet is offered. Brock House has a darker wood interior with contemporary music. Coffee and other beverages are extra. It was almost full when we went, they seem to do a good business on Sundays.

Beet salad was delicious as the beets had been marinated long enough to be soft, and it was very well seasoned. Root vegetable soup seemed to be a mix of turnip and carrot and other things, and it was delicious with a slightly maple and buttery warmth. Turkey sausages were excellent, and had far more flavour than others at the same I have had elsewhere. Bacon was very good as it was not overdone and was just crisp enough.
Mishy said the roast beef was amazing although she complained that she wasn't giving it enough after the wait in line for it. I had some and was given a larger portion, and I can confirm it was excellent especially with the gravy nearby. Scrambled eggs were excellent, not from a mix and not overdone, and with good seasoning. Mishy also loved the pizza saying it was really good. Tex/Mex hash was delicious without being overdone on the spice. Pasta chicken cacciatore was quite good and we both enjoyed it. Pad thai was rice-based. and wasn't bad and had a little pad Thai flavour but certainly wasn't like what we used to.
Yogurt is available with toppings and does not have any sugar in it so it is healthy and was quite good. In contrast, the little dessert squares have a lot of sugar but we're delicious. Little white powdered donuts had a lemony hint and were excellent considering they are probably store-bought. The chocolate ones weren't bad either. The build-your-own salad station with spring mix and toppings resulted in a delicious salad with plenty of cheesy and fresh spring notes. Lime Jell-o was lime Jell-o; not much challenge there but it was still good. Chocolate pudding was excellent and a very nice finish. Sunday brunch was $26.90. This is a good price these days especially with the carvery. We had a very good brunch and didn’t need anything else for the remainder of the day.
