Young Garden is located at 6079 Stanley Ave, in downtown Niagara Falls. It’s within walking distance of the Niagara Falls GO station so is reachable from Toronto or further on the GO line and can be considered transit-accessible. Young Garden has a more traditional interior with wooden tables and floor, and and closed wooden sliding-door booths. There were three AYCE options available: brunch buffet at $28.95, $42.95 lunch barbecue or $44.95 dinner barbecue. We opted for the buffet. Free WiFi is available.
We both liked the broccoli, and although slightly salty it was well seasoned. Tteok bokki is a traditional Korean simmered rice cake and was quite good, and seemed authentically (and originally) seasoned. Mishy enjoyed the scrambled eggs; while they are rather plain, there are plenty of sauces available for them. We both liked the chicken bulgogi and Mishy also indicated the beef was good. I enjoyed the chicken bulgogi very much. Pork bulgogi was similarly delicious, which I didn't expect being pork. But of course the beef bulgogi had to be the best of all three... it was very good.
Japchae, for just being noodles and onions, was excellent and full of flavour and very well-seasoned, better than I expected. Unfortunately Mishy did not like the French toast saying that it didn't have much flavour and was cold. I put a little syrup and a strawberry jam packet which is available on it, and didn't mind it at all, and it passed for dessert, which is good as there are no desserts otherwise.
Fried rice was very good even though it was a little understated, but one can always add some soy sauce; it was well-seasoned. We both enjoyed the kimchi, and it is definitely homemade, as it was fresh ... or as fresh as fermented can be. I expected the miso soup would not be good because it was being kept very hot but it was actually quite good. All-in-all it was a good and enjoyable lunch, and the price is reasonable.
