Industry Snack Bar is located at 594 Bloor St. W., just W. of Bathurst. Industry offers AYCE tacos on Tuesday nights, with the only requirement being purchase of a drink (a $3 soft drink is fine. Coke Zero is available.) There are no restrictions on how many can be ordered either. Industry is a darker interior hole-in-the-wall sized place, with nice soft rock and classic pop music ambiance.
Tacos are small two-bite sized so would not be as good a value a la carte as La Chingada's larger tacos, as they are the same $7 each, but here are a much better value AYCE due to the lack of time and order limits. I ended up eating 14 of them and only gave up due to being merciful and not wanting to bankrupt the establishment.
Brisket was delicious with a sweetish but not too sweet bourbon sauce and nicely seasoned. Piri Piri grilled chicken was a fantastic well-balanced mix of excellent flavours, with big chunks of chicken. Cajun butter shrimp (not Bang Bang shrimp as on the web menu) was excellent, spicy and happily with zero shrimpy fishiness.
Another excellent seasoning blend, jerk pork had a wonderful flavour meld and also did not have any gamey pork flavour... just goodness. Moroccan cauliflower is another fantastic flavour combination with tanginess and savour. Delicious!
Unfortunately the passion fruit pulled pork, and beet and watercress crema tacos were not available. But no worries as I was able to eat my fill at my pace and stress-free, making this at $35 the more enjoyable and better-valued of the two AYCE taco offerings I’ve tried.
