Korean Grill house is located at 3280 Midland Avenue, just north of Finch in the Scarborough Mall. It was very busy when we went for weekend lunch with only a couple of free tables. Happily, reusable chopsticks are used, the same steel variety as I carry (which is also the same at the Yonge location). Soy at table was very fresh and not salty.
Banchan potato was good although I would have made it a little stronger in the seasoning. Beef broth soup is better than I remember that. Bean sprouts were very good and fresh. Spicy bean sprouts were delicious. Mishy love the radish as usual, as did I. Tofu was delicious. Kimchi was good with just enough heat. Pork was so good and savory that Mishy mistook it for beef; It is very well-marinated.
Sausage was delicious and authentically spiced. Chicken was excellent and very well marinated and seasoned. Beef was also wonderfully seasoned and marinated and delicious… Mishy described it as "heavenly." Squid was actually quite good when barbecue and I enjoyed it, and would not have otherwise. There were $2 milkshakes available, chocolate and vanilla, so I tried a vanilla one and enjoyed it. Mishy said it was too-strongly vanilla flavored and sweet, but I think that's what it is supposed to be.
$23.99 was the weekend price for both lunch and dinner as the menu does not change, and there is a 13% service charge is included which sufficed as a tip; there is also a $1 service fee for Interac. It's a bit more expensive for lunch than what I consider the pinnacle of grill-house (Gyubee) but still for AYCE barbecued meats it's a reasonably good deal, and was certainly enjoyable. The Korean Grill Houses I have visited have been very consistently similar with their offerings and pricing at their multiple locations.
