BBQ pork was delicious and also fresh. Mishy love the teriyaki chicken saying it was tender and moist and not rubbery. Lemon chicken, which is one of her perennial favourites, was described as amazing with all white meat. Salt and pepper tofu was delicious. Mishy loved the sauces for the barbecue chicken, especially the sweet chili sauce. Deep fried chicken wings were good and fresh. Mishy unfortunately noted that the chicken balls were mostly bread, but doesn't know of anyone else who knows how to do it right. I tried them and they were good and fresh and I didn't mind the amount of chicken.
Salmon nigiri was quite good and fresh which is saying something because it was from a buffet bar. Cucumber roll with some really good and fresh. Vegetarian miso soup was quite good and also fresh, and if it was missing the dashi I didn't notice. Be careful not to overload on the seaweed which is just beside it.
French fries were excellent, not oily and flavourful. Lemon chicken was delicious and not overly sweet. Beef balls in tomato sauce for surprisingly good considering the simplicity of the ingredients. Beef broccoli stir fry was very good and was also fresh. Unfortunately, Mishy said that the pizza was stale and hard and she could barely finish it. Chicken nuggets were good and fresh.
The centrepiece is the grill and cook-to-order stir fry. The diner picks ingredients from the buffet station and then they are cooked with a choice of several sauces. I tried a beef-centric stir fry from there and it was excellent.
For dessert, Mishy said that the cheesecake was amazing, as well as the waffle and ice cream and chocolate. Most of the desserts were pretty standard for AYCE such as small pre-made cakes. One exception was lychee gelatin which is pretty unique. Weekend lunch is $37.99 with a 20% senior discount for 60+. Even with the included AYCD undiluted pop, this is still a bit much, but at least the offerings were (almost) all very good to compensate for it.
