Touro Brazilian Steakhouse - Vaughan

Touro Brazilian Steakhouse is located in Vaughan, more specifically Concord, the municipality bordering Toronto to the north in the west end, at 3255 Rutherford Rd. It's a 20 min. bike ride n. of the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre TTC station so may be considered transit-accessible. We reviewed the one in Richmond Hill years ago but somehow missed this one (it was closed for a while during the pandemic.) Both locations now have their Sunday brunch back;  AYCD pop is available for $2.75.

Biro Biro is a dish that seems to be eggs breaded with spinach and it was delicious. Bacon was crisp and excellent and not overdone. Breakfast sausages had a nice seasoning that I have not had before. Potato salad was al dente but I didn't mind and it was still pretty good. Chickpea salad was understated but still quite good. Artichoke salad was excellent and boldly seasoned very well. There was an unlabelled red pepper and I think carrot soup which was excellent. Feijoada which is a pork and black beans dish was also excellent and full of flavour.

On to the meats, parmesan steak was fantastic, juicy full of flavour and savour and the parmesan complimented it wonderfully... an excellent start. Sausage was quite good and adequately seasoned, although a touch gamey. Grilled pineapple was to-die-for good as there is brown sugar around the outside which is then caramelized, and it is fantastic. Sirloin was excellent other than being a touch salty but I will forgive that... it is sirloin after all. Spicy thigh steak was very well seasoned to compensate for the fattiness. Steak and bacon was, well, as to be expected with steak and bacon together.

There are breads for dessert as if the pineapple wasn't enough. Croissant was delicious although a little dry. Danishes were very good but even more dry. But, danishes aren’t what brought us here so this is of little difference. Sunday brunch is $39.99, which is an excellent value considering the prices elsewhere these days... it's only $10 more than when we were last at the other Touro, whereas many other places' prices have increased significantly more. The price differential more than offsets whatever minor shortcomings may have been encountered.
